Chisinau, 02 June /MOLDPRES/ – A draft law amending the Parliament's regulation was voted by 52 MPs today. The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova’s (PLDM), Communists’ Party of Moldova's (PCRM) and Liberal Party's (PL) factions boycotted the vote.
The draft, which provides for the equalization of parliamentary groups with factions, was put to the vote and adopted in final reading, despite the fact that members of three factions criticized it for favoring “political traceism”.
Following the changes in the regulation, independent and non-attached Members will be able to form parliamentary groups of five people who will have the same rights and obligations as factions.
The project was supported only by Democratic Party of Moldova’s (PDM) MPs and the European People's Party of Moldova’s (PPEM) MPs.
