Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority initiates investigation of incident at Chisinau International Airport

Chisinau, 5 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Civil Aviation Authority (AAC) has started procedures of investigating an aviation incident, with the involvement of an aircraft of the Romanian company Tarom, which took place at the Chisinau International Airport on 4 June.
According to the AAC press service, in the wake of the incident, the representative of the Civil Aviation Authority went on the spot to start protocols in terms of starting the incident’s documentation, At the same time, AAC ensures the needed cooperation with the investigation commission at the Transports and Roads Infrastructure Ministry of Moldova and the Authority for Investigation of Accidents and Incidents from Romania. Thus, the results of the investigation will be published after the inquiry is over.
At the same time, a press release by the Tarom company reads that “in the procedure of landing, during the braking, for still unknown reasons, the airplane had abnormal movements, with the crew making efforts to put the airplane right, as it slightly got out of the runway. The aircraft will be subjected to technical verifications at the Chisinau airport,” representatives of the company said.
An airplane of the Tarom company flying on the Bucharest-Chisinau, on 4 June evening got out of the runway on the Chisinau International Airport during the landing. Thirty nine passengers were onboard, who were disembarked safely, with no one affected by the incident.
