Regulation on activity requirements of institutions for disabled people to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/- Regulation on hygienic requirements in the new social services for people with disabilities “Casa comunitară”, „Locuinţa protejată” and „Respiro” will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 9 June.

The document sees the hygienic requirements and sanitary norms for social service providers and sets criteria to be observed by providers in the choice and arrangement of headquarters, location of sanitary spaces, requirements to organizing food and rest area.

According to the authorities, the services were created in the context of implementation of the national policy of de-institutionalization and social inclusion of disabled people. The services will be provided at community level and will be an alternative to boarding schools and orphanages.
