Romanian authorities unveil recommendations on crossing border in summer period

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Romania in Moldova today unveiled a string of recommendations as to the crossing of the border with Romania on the summer period.
According to the Embassy’s press service, during the summer period, the number of Romanian and foreign citizens crossing the border checkpoints might increase; therefore, it is recommended to access the official webpage of the Romanian Police - www.politiadefrontiera.ro, to get information on conditions for travel, procedure and acts needed to cross the frontier.
At the same time, the Romanian authorities urge citizens to check on the same webpage the average waiting time at the border checkpoints with Romania. Also, they recommend the use of all the border checkpoints to cross the frontier, in order to streamline the road traffic.
To cross the Moldovan-Romanian border, citizens may use the following border checkpoints: Lipcani – Radauti Prut (road checkpoint), Costesti - Stinca (road checkpoint), Sculeni – Sculeni (road checkpoint), Ungheni – Ungheni (railway checkpoint), Leuseni – Albita (road checkpoint), Cahul – Oancea (road checkpoint) and Giurgiulesti – Galati (road checkpoint).
