Moldovan foreign minister meets Swedish counterpart

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today met Foreign Affairs Minister of Sweden Margot Wallström, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials discussed possibilities to boost the bilateral cooperation, in the context of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations, interaction within international organizations, prospects for development of the Eastern Partnership, and reviewed developments on the international and regional stages.
Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur expressed appreciations for the support provided Moldova within European institutions by Sweden – one of the states initiators and promoters of the Eastern Partnership – as well as on the bilateral dimension, through assistance projects in key sectors, such as strengthening the democracy, human rights’ protection, market economy development, energy efficiency, IT, agriculture, etc.
For her part, Margot Wallström reconfirmed the support of Sweden for Moldova’s agenda of European reforms, expressing her country’s willingness to further contribute to Moldova’s modernization through technical assistance and expertise.
