Moldovan foreign ministry speaks out for deepening dialogue with South Korea

Chisinau, 9 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii today had a meeting with Kiev-based Ambassador of South Korea to Moldova Lee Yang-goo, on a visit to Chisinau, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Deputy Minister Darii stressed the importance attached by Moldova to developing the relations with South Korea in the political, economic, cultural, education, science and information technologies sectors. The minister highlighted the importance to boost the bilateral cooperation on the whole, in the context of marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations in 2017.
For his part, the Korean ambassador emphasized the special interest in strengthening the Moldova-South Korea economic relations through turning to good account opportunities in the sphere of commercial exchanges and investments. Also, during the dialogue, the sides tackled up-to-date elements in the domestic policy of both states, as well as the fruitful collaboration within international organizations.
Note: At his third visit to Chisinau, held on 7-9 June, the ambassador of South Korea also discussed ways of advancing the Moldovan-South Korean bilateral cooperation with PM Pavel Filip, Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic, Culture Minister Monica Babuc and Deputy Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Iurie Usurelu.
