Moldovan cabinet rules to create agency for labour supervision, inspectorate for environmental protection

Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Government approved some legislative amendments and additions regarding the entrepreneurial activity regulation, state control of construction, civil protection and environment at its meeting today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to create the Technical Supervision Agency, which will undertake state control in the field of the safety of dangerous industrial objects, construction and urban planning, and the supervision of the construction materials market. The institution will also hold competences for the authorization of entrepreneurs in the related fields.

Also, the Technical Supervision Agency will exercise State oversight of fire safety and civil protection measures. As such, the Agency's inspectors, together with representatives of the rescue and fire service, will control the compliance to fire protection rules and the information obtained will be presented to the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service, for it being able to use them for fire interventions then.

The Technical Supervision Agency will take on the tasks of the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, the Main State Inspectorate for Technical Supervision of Dangerous Industrial Objects, the State Inspection in Construction, the State Inspectorate for Geodetic Surveillance, Engineering and Regime.

Also today, the Environmental Protection Inspectorate was set up to carry out state control in environmental protection, atmospheric air, forestry, fish, aquatic and soil resources, subsoil and natural resources. The Authority will take control functions from the State Environmental Inspectorate and the Fisheries Service.
