World Bank to provide Moldova with assistance to achieve goals set

Chisinau, 13 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today had a meeting with World Bank’s Country Manager for Moldova, Europe and Central Asia Alex Kremer, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The sides exchanged opinions on projects underway and prospects for their development, in the context of backing the component of measures to strengthen trust between the banks of Dniester.
Referring to the present situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, the deputy prime minister noted that the projects’ implementation, especially in the Transnistrian region, contributed to the settlement of the current problems, improving the quality of services provided and promotion of programmes on regional partnership.
For his part, Alex Kremer reconfirmed the World Bank’s willingness to provide Moldovan authorities with needed assistance and expertise to achieve the goals set.
In the end of the meeting, the officials reiterated full openness for cooperation.
