Moldovan, Swedish officials approach cooperation, reforms

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii received today the Director-General for International Development Cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Johannes Oljelund, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media relations service has reported.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the current stage and prospects for the development of the Moldovan-Swedish relations. Deputy Minister Darii expressed gratitude for the technical assistance provided by Sweden in the process of alignment with European standards, as well as for supporting important projects in the field of human rights and gender equality, consolidation of democracy, energy efficiency and improving the investment climate, agriculture and information technologies.

For his part, Director-General Johannes Oljelund confirmed his country's readiness to further support the European agenda of reforms in the Republic of Moldova.
