Moldovan foreign minister meets Norwegian counterpart

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur, on the occasion of a working visit to Oslo, occasioned by the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldovan-Norwegian relations, today had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Norway Børge Brende, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions on the present stage of the Moldovan-Norwegian relations. The sides also stressed mutual interest in turning to good account the potential of cooperation in the political, commercial, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors.
Also, the two foreign ministers tackled subjects on the degree of implementation of reforms in Moldova and cooperation within international organizations.
In the context, Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Galbur expressed thanks to the Norwegian government for the technical assistance provided to Moldova, to carry out projects on economic development, lasting employment, promoting supremacy of law and reform of the judicial system.
For his part, the Norwegian diplomacy head reiterated his country’s willingness to further back Moldova’s efforts of modernization and promoting priority reforms.
