Moldova, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg mark 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties' establishment

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - The foreign affairs ministers of Moldova and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Andrei Galbur and Jean Asselborn, respectively, today made exchanged of congratulatory messages, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two countries.
According to the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service, the Moldovan diplomacy head appreciated the positive dynamic of the Moldovan-Luxembourgish dialogue on all this period, both in terms of bilateral cooperation and within international organizations.
Also, Minister Andrei Galbur stressed, in his message, that Moldova had reached an importance phase in the dialogue with the European Union and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was a reliable partner, who continuously backed Moldova’s efforts in implementing the reforms’ agenda and aligning with the European standards.
At the same time, Minister Galbur highlighted the further importance of the Moldovan-Luxembourgish political dialogue and made an invitation to his counterpart from Luxembourg to visit Moldova during this anniversary year.
For his part, Minister Jean Asselborn appreciated the pragmatic and fruitful cooperation between the two states during the 25 years, noting that Moldova and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg further avail of a vast potential of cooperation.
Note: Moldova established diplomatic relations with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on 16 June 1992.
