Term of 180 days of stay in Moldova of vehicles with foreign registration numbers expires on 30 June

Chisinau, 21 June /MOLDPRES/- The Transport and Road Infrastructure Ministry (MTID) informs that the term of 180 days of stay in Moldova of vehicles with foreign registration numbers expires on 30 June 2017. MTID recommends that the owners of these vehicles pay road tax- the vignette for the entire period, otherwise they risk being penalized.

In the case of transport units entering the country by private people residing in any other state and having a driving license in the country of their residence, they may be in the country for more than 180 days paying 180 euros for each consecutive 180-day period, including for incomplete periods that follow.

The Transport and Road Infrastructure Ministry reminds that the vignette can be purchased at any branch of Moldova Agroindbank bank, at payment terminals (QIWI, Paynet, Paymaster and MMPS), as well as online, by visiting website- www.vinieta.gov.md through the Government Electronic Payment Service (MPay).

To simplify the process of registering and purchasing the vignette, “User Guide” was created and made available to the user on the vignette website and on the official website of the State Road Administration - www.asd.md.
