Moldovan government supports extend, boosting of activity of production park Valkanes

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers endorsed the legislative initiative on extending the Free Entrepreneurship Zone – “Valkanes” Production Park with more than 92 hectares, at its meeting today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

However, those 107 hectares currently belonging to the Free Entrepreneurship Area will be completed with a plot of 50.3 ha of Comrat and one of 41.9 ha of Ceadir-Lunga. Therefore, two new sub-areas will be created, located in industrial areas and connected to the necessary production infrastructure.

According to the project's authors, the initiative aims at accelerating the socio-economic development of ATU Gagauzia and boosting the activity of the production park. Hereafter, already many foreign investors have expressed their desire to develop business within the free zone, which would create new jobs and increase revenues to local budgets.

The Free Entrepreneurship Zone – “Valkanes” Production Park was founded in Vulcanesti city in 1998.
