Moldovan premier addresses congratulatory message on Sovereignty Day

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip began the Cabinet of Ministers’ meeting today with an appreciation message for the Legislature members, who 27 years ago, on 23 June 1990, adopted the Declaration of Sovereignty, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The Prime Minister addressed a congratulatory message and thanked the legislators who, regardless of the political situation, had the courage to declare Moldova a sovereign, unitary and indivisible state.

In this context, the head of the Executive revealed the importance of continuing the path chosen by Moldova. “Our journey has not been easy, but at least today we know with certainty where the Republic of Moldova is heading. Our place is with the member countries of the European Union and we have to achieve this goal as we have planned,” said Pavel Filip.
