Moldovan meteorologists issue yellow code of hot weather

Chisinau, 24 June /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow code of hot weather and exceptional fire hazard today. The warning is valid from Sunday, 25 June, till Saturday, 01 July.

According to meteorologists, during this period, on most of Moldova’s territory the maximum air temperature will reach 33°C and more. Also, during this period, it will increase the exceptional risk of arson of forest strips and agricultural crops.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service’s data, minimum temperatures of up to 15°C are expected for the following days, at night in the north of Moldova, and maximum up to 35°C in the south of Moldova. Similarly, meteorologists forecast heavy rainfall throughout the country for the beginning of the next week.
