Moldovan government starts Contest for awarding National Prize-2017

Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Commission for awarding the National Prize has started the registration of candidates with outstanding achievements in the sectors of national importance, for participation in this year issue, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The participants will compete individually or collectively in the fields of science, technology, culture, art and sport. The putting forward of candidates according to the area of activity and results gained will be made by the competent ministries, Moldova’s Academy of Sciences, universities, creation unions, National Olympic and Sports Committee, sport federations, laureates of the National Prize and laureates of the State Prize.    

The letters of recommendation with the indication of the fields of the Prize’s awarding, as well as the works of the candidates for the contest are to be submitted to the Commission till 28 June 2017, 16:00, (Government Building, Great National Assembly Square No 1, State Chancellery, office 647).

Annually, within events dedicated to the Independence Day, the government provided ten national prizes worth 100,000 each, as a token of gratitude for the promotion of the innovating spirit and achievements which enhanced Moldova’s prestige on the international stage.
