Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ – The Chisinau City Hall launched the first electro-bus route today, where are to circulate five new type trolleybuses equipped with accumulators to Chisinau International Airport.
At the event, deputy Mayor, Nistor Grozavu, said that it was a special day for Chisinau municipality, because the transition to ecological transport and no electric transport lines is taking place. “We reviewed several routes that we could have put the trolleybuses in circulation, but I chose this one, so as citizens coming from abroad can easily get the capital centre. Then we will assemble more similar trolleybuses and choose new directions, such as Ialoveni town, Stauceni commune, or areas with no stable public transport. The ticket cost two lei on these trolleybuses,” said Grozavu.
The Electric Transport Company chief, Gheorghe Morgoci, specified during the launch that the price for one trolleybus was €200 thousand. “It is transport of the future, being environmentally pure. This is the first project and we thank for the support given in its realization. For this year, there are no funds planned, so in the fourth quarter we will assemble five more units, and then decide the route they are to run,” said Morgoci.
Five trolleybuses will circulate on route №30, connecting Chisinau city centre (Great National Assembly Square) (PMAN) and Chisinau International Airport, , by the timetable: tour – Chisinau International Airport – bd. Dacia – Viaduct – str. Ciuflea – bd. Stefan cel Mare and Sfant – str. Metropolitul G. Banulescu-Bodoni – str. 31 august 1989 and retour – str. 31 august 1989 – str. A. Puskin – bd. Stefan cel Mare si Sfant – str. Ciuflea – Viaduct – bd. Dacia – Chisinau International Airport.
After the new trolleybus line launch, “A” bus route "Aeroport – Vatra town” will be canceled starting today and reopened bus route №20 “str. 31 august 1989 – Vatra town”.
