Moldovan owners of vehicles with foreign numbers have four days to benefit from cut in customs clearance

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service today informed that the facilitation giving possibility to vehicles registered abroad or in the Transnistrian region to undergo customs clearance, with the payment of only 30 per cent of the excise duty’s quota, expires on 30 June.
According to the Customs Service (SV), after this term expires, those who failed to register their cars, will have right to be in Moldova six months per year at the most, while the movement of the vehicles registered in the Transnistrian region will be banned.
SV also said that, to benefit from cut in customs clearance, the owners of vehicles must present the technical passport of the transport means, the sales contract, the donation act or the proxy and the certificate proving the payment of the road tax.
It is necessary to fill in a customs declaration and a written declaration on one’s own responsibility on the truthfulness of the information presented, by annexing the confirmative documents issued in the administrative and territorial units from the left bank of Dniester, for the customs clearance of the transport means registered in the administrative and territorial units from the left bank of Dniester and Bender city.
Statistics data unveiled by the Customs Service shows that 17,901 vehicles have undergone the customs clearance in facilitated regime so far, of which 2,178 cars from the left bank of Dniester. Following the customs clearance, more than 422.3 million lei was has been collected in the state budget.
