Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - About 25,800 people need to be provided with social dwellings, according to a regulation due to be published in the 30 June issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Official).
Persons with severe disabilities, families taking care of minors with severe disabilities, young families having no dwelling, families where triples, quadruplets or more children who were simultaneously born, orphan children who came of age and did not benefit from dwelling on behalf of the state will have right to social dwellings.
The regulation also stipulates that the persons who, on the date of the entrance into force of the law on dwellings from 30 April 2015, were registered for the improvement of the dwellings’ conditions, have priority right at the consideration of applications submitted on the provision with social dwellings. At the same time, the register is updated once per year till the date of 1 April of the next year.
About 20.8 billion lei will be necessary for the full construction of dwellings. Yet, if decision-makers resort to the purchasing of present dwellings, especially for young specialists, the aforementioned figure will decrease essentially, as about 50 per cent of the needed number of dwellings are demanded for young families.
