New certificates for vehicles registration to be issued in Moldova as of 1 March 2018

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - New certificates on vehicles’ registration will be issued starting from 1 March 2018, according to a decision published in the 30 June issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Thus, the notion, Model, is envisaged to be reformulated into Type of Vehicle, Type of Coachwork – into Commercial Description, and the field Type of Vehicle will be reformulated into Category/Subcategory of Vehicle. Also, the field J2 Type of Coachwork will be introduced, while the field Number of Engine will be excluded, as having an optional character.   

The changes will be applied beginning with the creation of needed conditions for putting into circulation the new certificates, but not later than 1 March 2018. The certificates issued till the entrance into force of the new provisions will remain valid till the expiration of the term for which they were issued.  

The project’s implementation does not need financial sources from the state budget. The spending will be covered by the authority in charge of the issuance of documents for vehicles’ registration – Public Services Agency, within the limit of the sources available. The price the applicants are to pay for processing the certificates will not increase.
