Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives UNICEF representative on farewell visit

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii had a meeting with UNICEF representative in the Republic of Moldova Nune Mangasaryan, on the occasion of concluding her mission in the Republic of Moldova, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

Deputy Minister Darii thanked the UNICEF official for the prolific work she has done during the last four years in favour of children of the Republic of Moldova. Successful implementation of the UNICEF Country Program for the years 2013-2017 is a relevant proof in this regard. At the same time, Deputy Minister stressed the interest of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova to cooperate effectively with the future UNICEF representative for the realization of projects of common interest, including in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova. 

At her turn, Nune Mangasaryan expressed her gratitude for the support provided by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova in properly exercising her mandate and assured that the UNICEF country team will support the Government's agenda in the field of child protection and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals relevant to this issue.
