More pensioners of Moldova's left-bank of Dniester to benefit from monthly allowances

Chisinau, 30 June /MOLDPRES/ – About 500 citizens from the left bank of the Dniester, who hold the citizenship of Moldova but do not receive pensions established by the Tiraspol administration, will receive monthly allowances in the amount of 550 lei. A draft law in this regard was adopted by Parliament in a final reading today.

The changes target women aged 55 – 57 and men aged 60 – 62, pension beneficiaries established by the public social insurance system.

According to Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Family, Viorica Dumbraveanu, the allowances will be of great help to those who hold the citizenship of Moldova and live on the left bank of the Dniester, especially because some of them face economic problems due to restricting access to agricultural lands which they own.
