Chisinau Municipal Council interim secretary elected

Chisinau, 04 July /MOLDPRES/ – The secretary of Riscani sector, Adrian Talmaci, was elected as interim secretary of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) today.

The decision was supported by the vote of 30 municipal councilors: PSRM, PPEM, PCRM, PN and independent counselors. Also, the liberal councilors did not attend the meeting.

The Council’s new secretary said at the CMC meeting that "he has no political affiliation and is not involved in any political activity."

According to the draft decision, Adrian Talmaci is expected to perform his appointment from the moment of his appointment.

Three more candidates were proposed for the interim secretary of the CMC: Vadim Brinzaniuc, Ludmila Cutasevici and Tudor Tofan.

The office of secretary of CMC remained vacant after former secretary Valeriu Didencu, suspected of corruption and trafficking of influence, was suspended from office, at the request of the prosecutors.

Also today, CMC set up a commission to select the new secretary of the permanent board.
