Moldovan foreign ministry supports intensification of bilateral cooperation with China

Chisinau, 05 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received today the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Moldova, Zhang Yinghong, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
Deputy Minister Lilian Darii mentioned, in the context of the 25th anniversary of establishment of Moldovan-Chinese diplomatic relations, the opening of Chisinau authorities for high-level visits, as well as the willingness to hold political consultations between foreign ministries.
Ambassador Zhang Yinghong welcomed the new changes to the consular framework of cooperation, whereby Chinese citizens, holding a residence permit or visa of an EU Member State, except the transit one, to be able to travel without visas to the territory of Moldova. The officials noted that that change would promote Moldova among the potential Chinese investors.
The two officials expressed the need to diversify sectorial cooperation in various areas: economic, investment, research, tourism, education and others.
