Moldovan government approves new measures for technical education to requirements of labour market

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law on sectoral training committees during the meeting today. The document promotes the collaboration increase and efficiency between the employees and the employers as to develop the technical vocational education according to the needs of the labour market, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The sectoral committees can be set up by employers and trade unions’ organizations to develop social partnerships as to support technical vocational education and continuous training of specialists, and to correlate the professional training of employers with labour market requirements. Also, they will be able to initiate, coordinate and participate in the development of occupational standards for technical professional education, as well as in the revision of existing standards in the national economy.
Similarly, the new entities will participate in the National Qualifications Framework’s elaboration, approve the curricula and submit proposals for the updating of the Occupation Classifier of Moldova.
In the same row, all draft normative acts regulating continuing education and technical vocational education will be consulted with sectoral committees.
The document is to be submitted for consideration to the Parliament.
