Moldovan foreign ministry hosts informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of Eastern Partnership

Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ – The 9th Meeting of the Informal Ministerial Dialogue on the Eastern Partnership was held today in Chisinau, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The event hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova was attended by the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn, Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service, Jean-Christophe Belliard, as well as the Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine).
The meeting addressed the necessary subjects for the preparation of the Eastern Partnership Summit which is to be held on 24.11.2017 in Brussels (Belgium), so that the decisions to be taken into perspective include the objectives of all the Eastern Partners.
Also, it was discussed the proposal to recalibrate the multilateral institutional composition of the Partnership.
During the event, Minister Galbur presented the defining visions for the Brussels Summit Declaration, reiterating the European perspective.
Another dialogue aspect was the revealing of the development directions of the sectoral segment of PaE, in the perspective of 2020.
