Georgian foreign minister pays official visit to Moldova

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, met with Georgian Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, being on an official visit to Chisinau on 10 July, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The two officials addressed the whole spectrum of bilateral relations between the Moldova and Georgia, emphasizing the mutual interest in promoting the political dialogue, intensifying the trade-economic exchanges, deepening the contacts on the cultural-humanitarian line and extending the legal framework.
The parties also referred to bilateral cooperation within international organizations, including through mutual support in ensuring territorial integrity and achieving the European integration goals of Moldova and Georgia.
The officials exchanged views on the strategic development of the Eastern Partnership in the run-up to the Summit of November 2017 and questioned the state of implementation of the reform agendas of Moldova and Georgia.
The Georgian official also had meetings with Moldovan Parliament Speaker, Andrian Candu and Prime Minister, Pavel Filip.
