Moldovan-Iranian intergovernmental economic cooperation commission to resume activity

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Moldova, with residence in Kiev, Mohammad Beheshti Monfared, today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the two diplomats reviewed the current state of bilateral relations, highlighting the imperative of deepening them by exploring and capitalizing on the potential of cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The possibilities of bilateral visits and the resumption of work of the Moldovan-Iranian Intergovernmental commission for economic, trade and technical-scientific cooperation were also discussed.
The interlocutors noted that in 2017, Moldova and Iran mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Islamic Republic of Iran, mentioning that that occasion being a good opportunity to boost bilateral collaboration.
