Moldovan PM meets with US Ambassador

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister Pavel Filip received the US Ambassador to Moldova, James Pettit, today. the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The officials reviewed the main developments in the dialogue between the Moldova and the development partners and exchanged views on the reforms’ implementation. In the context, the Prime Minister informed the US diplomat on the results of the Executive's actions, referring to the regulatory reform, the pension system, the healthcare system and the judiciary.
"The government I lead is committed to produce reforms for citizens and turn Moldova into a country of European standards based on the commitments made in the Roadmap with the European Union and the International Monetary Fund Agreement" said Pavel Filip. The Prime Minister also thanked for the steady US support.
At his part, the US diplomat encouraged the Government to continue implementing the reforms in a robust way, even if their results to be visible over time. James Pettit also noted that the US has been promoting respect for democratic values and was aiming to help Moldova move forward.
