Moldovan head of diplomacy meets with Bulgarian counterpart

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ – In the context of the participation in the OSCE Informal Meeting of Foreign Ministers, held on 11 July 2017 in Mauerbach, Austria, Minister Andrei Galbur had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Justice Reform, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ekaterina Zaharieva.
The Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported that at the beginning of the meeting, Minister Andrei Galbur highlighted the fact that it was marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Bulgaria in 2017, both countries sharing a friendship based on mutual respect during that period.
Also, the interlocutors reviewed a number of issues on the agenda of the bilateral political dialogue, expressing the openness of both parties to intensify the exchange of high-level visits.
A special topic of the discussions was the advancement of the European integration process of Moldova.
The head of the Moldovan diplomacy thanked for the constant support given by Bulgaria to Moldova, especially through messages and support actions within the European Union.
There were discussed issues related to the political and socio-economic situation in Moldova and Bulgaria, the preparations for Bulgaria's takeover of the EU presidency in 2018 and the European prospects of Moldova.
