Decision on creation of three integration centres for foreigners to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ – Three integration centres for foreigners will be established in Chisinau, Balti and Cahul municipalities, according to a draft government decision that will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 14 July.
Similarly, it will be published also the Regulation which stipulates the activity of these centres.
According to the document, the centres will be established within the Migration and Asylum Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), and their activity will be provided by the budget of MAI.
The integration centres for foreigners are specialized in integration, counseling, information and assistance to foreigners. The new structures will be a one-stop wicket for receiving requests from immigrants and redirecting them to the authorities and services they need. The centres will carry out a zonal activity by providing assistance to persons from all the localities of Moldova based on the northern region (Balti municipality), centre (Chisinau municipality) and south (Cahul municipality).
According to CRIS Registru data, at the beginning of 2017 there were over 25 thousand foreigners and stateless persons on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. Most of them are from Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Romania and Turkey. They come to Moldova to reunite their families, work or study.
