Vehicles moving on gas to be banned in buildings' underground parkings in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 July /MOLDPRES/ - The vehicles equipped with gas supply system will be banned in more public places, under a draft government decision, due to be published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) of Moldova on 14 July.  

According to the document, the transport units on gas will not be allowed to stand in underground parkings of multistoried dwellings, social and cultural buildings and in the ones with public and administrative purpose. At the same time, the vehicles’ access and standing in close-type underground parkings will be prohibited.    

At the same time, for the provisions to be observed, the regulation on road traffic was completed with a new indicator, which bans the access of vehicles equipped with compressed natural gas or liquid natural gas supply system.

The amendments are aimed at reducing the risks of fires and blasts in the exploitation of vehicles equipped with the natural gas supply system.
