Political representatives in Transnistrian settlement meet in Bender

Chisinau, 14 July /MOLDPRES/ - The delegations of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), representatives of Ukraine and the OSCE Mission in Moldova brought together in the Bender city on 13 July, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, proceeding from the situation emerged on a request by Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, issued in the plenum of the meeting on 29 June 2017, the composition of the Commission unanimously accepted the agenda, which provided for the approaching of organizational subjects and reports by the Unified Military Command.
At a proposal by Ukraine’s representatives, colonel Aleksandr Kolesnik, major Vitaly Morozenko and major Vitaly Moliborski were confirmed as military observers. At the same time, the JCC members dismissed from offices lieutenant colonel Sergey Zhuravski, majors Aleksandr Antonyuk and Yuriy Salo, given the end of the service term.
Representatives of the OSCE Mission in Moldova informed about the results of the last June consideration of the work of peacekeeping posts and the situation dealing with maintaining the law and order in the Security Zone.
Also, the Commission heard and approved two weekly reports on the situation in the Security Zone, described as stable.
In the context, the participants in the meeting pointed to the need to maintain a positive dialogue in JCC’s work.
