Bus with Moldovan citizens involved in road accident in Ukraine

Chisinau, 18 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration has self-inflicted on the road accident produced in Chernivtsi city, Ukraine, on the evening of 17 July, when a Neoplan bus with Moldovan registration plates on the Aachen (Chisinau) route was buffed in front of a Sprinter minibus on the counter, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) information and media communication service has reported.
According to the latest information received from the Ukrainian authorities by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Ukraine, there were 56 passengers, citizens of Moldova, on the bus.
Following the accident, three passengers on the bus suffered various body trauma and injuries and were transported to the Chernivtsi hospital for medical help and necessary investigations. Their lives are out of any danger. For the other 53 passengers the transport to the Republic of Moldova was organized.
At the same time, the driver of the minibus, a Ukrainian citizen, died as a result of the road accident.
The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Kiev is in contact with the Ukrainian authorities. Also, the MAEIE activated the crisis cell, which aims to coordinate all actions to assist Moldovan citizens in such cases.
