Moldovan to benefit from assistance worth 3.2 million dollars to increase investments, promote exports

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet, at a today’s meeting, approved a decision on starting negotiations and approval of the signing of an agreement on consultancy between the government of Moldova, represented by the Economics Ministry, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, Moldova will benefit from technical assistance worth 3.2 million dollars to increase investments and promote exports. In particular, consultancy services in three major sectors are to be provided, with these fields representing also the project’s goals: improvement of the business environment, strengthening access to market, with emphasis on the agro-industrial sector and enhancing the level of protection of investments.
The agreement will enter into force following its ratification by the parliament.
The International Finance Corporation is part of the World Bank Group; it is an institution which provided loans, capital and technical assistance to encourage investments in the private sector in the developing countries.
