Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today received Ambassador of Russia to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials made a short review of the topical issues on the agenda of the Moldovan-Russian relations, in particular, on the promotion of the political dialogue and evolution of the commercial and economic ties.
The sides exchanged opinions on the 25th anniversary of the peacekeeping operation at Dniester and the way of marking this event. In particular, Andrei Galbur noted that the Moldovan authorities consider that the anniversary of the ceasing of the war on Dniester was to be marked based on a joint plan of actions. Or, in the lack of such a plan, the unilateral carrying out of such actions is not able to help strengthen the trust.
In this context, Andrei Galbur and Farit Mukhametshin approached aspects on the promotion of the process of talks on the Transnistrian settlement.
