Moldovan pupils win two medals at international contest in Chemistry

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ – The pupils from Moldova won a silver medal and a bronze medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad.
The Education Ministry’s press service has informed today that the silver medal took Chiril Solovei, a pupil of the 11th form of Chisinau theoretical lyceum (LT) Orizont, while the bronze medal got Dumitru Mitcov, a pupil of the 12th form at Balti theoretical lyceum (LT) Mihai Eminescu.
The Moldovan team represented four pupils and two teachers. The participants were trained both by high school teachers and by the team of professors from the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the State University of Moldova (USM).
The contest took place 06-15 July in Thailand. The Olympics was attended by about 300 pupils from over 70 countries.
