Joint Control Commission holds new meeting in Bender

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s delegation chaired a meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender on 20 July, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Under the agenda, based on a petition by Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Mukhametshin, issued in the plenum of a meeting from 29 June this year, the Commission considered subjects, among which: confirming Viktor Ganenko, in charge of the security sector, in the post of expert with permanent status on behalf of the Transnistrian delegation. Ganenko will replace his counterpart Maxim Kravet.
Subsequently, the participants in the meeting heard and approved a weekly report on the situation in the Security Zone, described as stable.
Also, the representatives of the Unified Military Command informed about the preparation of a report for the „Миротворец” (Peacekeeper) newspaper, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the launch of the peacekeeping operation in Moldova’s Transnistrian region, in line with provisions of the ceasefire agreement from 21 July 1992.
The next JCC meeting will take place on 27 July.
