Moldovan deputy premier meets secretary of Ukraine's Security and Defence Council

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan, at a trip to Kiev, on 21 July had a meeting with Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The sides discussed aspects on deepening the bilateral cooperation, in order to promote efficient policies of ensuring the national security and defence, in the context of the existence of unsettled conflicts on the territory of Moldova and Ukraine, multiple challenges triggered by the lack of an effective control on the situation in the concerned area on behalf of the constitutional authorities and the risks determining the presence of hotbeds of tension and instability, with all elements related to these processes.
Also, the officials stressed the need to coordinate measures in security issues, in order to stabilize the situation in the conflict-stricken regions, re-establish the territorial integrity of Moldova and Ukraine and achieve the priority goals dealing with the country’s reintegration and European integration.
