Moldovan-American military exercising Dragoon Pioneer 2017 takes place under Chisinau

Chisinau, 25 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan-American exercise Dragoon Pioneer 2017 takes place at the Bulboaca National Army's military training centre.

According to Major Gheorghe Banu, chief of the Codru engineering battalion, over 140 soldiers from the National Army and National Guard nations of North Carolina, United States, are trained in Bulboaca applications. Dragoon Pioneer 2017 exercise aims at jointly training engineering subunits and increasing the level of interoperability of the two armies.

According to the Ministry of Defence data, the National Army participates in this exercise with 70 soldiers of engineering troops, 22th peacekeeping battalion, as well as from National Army Brigades 1, 2 and 3 and with special technical units.

The Moldovan-American exercise Dragoon Pioneer takes place for the second consecutive year in Moldova. It will end on 05 August.
