Moldovan government focused on preparation of education institutions for 2017-2018 academic year

Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a decision on the preparation of the education institutions for the 2017-2018 academic year, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The draft sees carrying out actions due to contribute to providing a material and didactic basis, preparing the institutions for the cold period of the year, optimizing the network of education institutions.

Also, the draft provides for free of charge nourishment of the pupils from the 1-4 forms, of the ones from socially vulnerable families and of the pupils from the 5-12 forms of the general education institutions from Moldova’s eastern district and the Bender city, subordinated to the Education Ministry. The pupils of the 1-10 forms and the ones of the 10-12 forms from the socially vulnerable families will be provided with textbooks free of charge, at a level of ten per cent of all the number of pupils from the lyceum education, in the education institutions of all the types.   

Other actions provided for in the document will contribute to ensuring the free of charge transportation of pupils and teachers to education institutions and inclusion of pupils with special education requirements.
