Twenty six localities in ten districts of Moldova were left without electricity by rains

Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ – Twenty six localities in ten districts of Moldova were left without electricity due to the heavy rains on 27 July.
According to the of the Civil Protection and Emergency Situations Service’s (SPCSE) data of the Ministry of the Interior at 07:00 a.m., were disconnected from electricity several localities in districts of Orhei, Stefan Voda, Causeni, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Cantemir, Leova, Dubasari, Soldanesti and Floresti. As to restore energy to consumers, some specialized teams work on site.
Similarly, as a result of the rainfall recorded in the central and the southern part of Moldova, more households needed intervention by rescuers. The SPCSE employees were alerted to pumping water from several gardens and cellars in Gagauz-Yeri, Taraclia, Cahul and Causeni. Also, due to leakage, 14 households were chosen with water in gardens and basements.
The Committees for Territorial Exclusive Situations are expected to estimate the caused damage.
The State Hydrometeorological Service issued a yellow code of strong aversions and electric discharges in the south, centre and several districts in the north of Moldova, today. According to meteorologists’ info, there will keep strong showers with electric discharge, and by 21:00 the amount of precipitation will be 15-25 l/m2, isolated 30-40 l/m2, today.
