Moldovan deputy foreign minister pays working visit to Bucharest

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Daniela Morari, paid a working visit to Bucharest on 28 July at the invitation of Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Romania, Victor Negrescu. The visit was part of a series of actions meant to strengthen the Moldovan-Romanian dialogue ensure the European integration process of Moldova’s progress in the spirit of bilateral strategic partnership, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The talks with Minister Negrescu focused on the reform agenda of Moldova, priorities for Moldova-EU cooperation, expectations of the Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017, and preparations for the Romanian Presidency of the EU Council to be taken over from 01 January 2019. The Romanian counterpart confirmed Romania's full readiness to further support Moldova's strategic objective of European integration as well as its aspirations to advance the relationship with the EU.
The interlocutors reviewed the actions taken by the line institutions in order to achieve the cooperation priorities established at the 4th session of the Moldovan-Romanian Intergovernmental Commission for European Integration, held on 19 May 2017.
The working visit agenda also included a meeting with Presidential Adviser, Leonard Orban, where took place an exchange of views on the European agenda of Moldova, value of Romania's support in ensuring the convergence of Moldova with the EU standards, as well as in promoting of the European integration process of Moldova within the EU.
Similarly, Daniela Morari had a meeting with Ambassadors and diplomatic missions accredited for Moldova, headquartered in Bucharest, where they reviewed the latest social and political developments in Moldova and priorities in the field of European integration and regional cooperation.
