Moldovan meteorologists issue yellow code of heat

Chisinau, 31 July /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) issued a yellow code for hot weather on 31 July – 06 August, all over Moldova, today.
According to meteorologists, during this period, the maximum air temperature will reach 33ºC and more.
According to the SHS’s data, minimum temperatures up to plus 16ºC are forecasted for the following days, at night in the north of Moldova, and up to a maximum of 36ºC a day in the south of Moldova.
During the heat, physicians recommend limiting the duration of walks and sunbathing from 10.00-18.00, intense physical effort, wearing lightweight natural hair clothes, long sleeves, and head caps with hoods and hats. Also, it is recommended to consume an average of 2-3 litres of cold water, warm teas, fresh fruit/vegetables, avoiding alcoholic beverages and containing caffeine.
