Moldova, Serbia to negotiate agreement on mutual promotion, protection of investments

Chisinau, 2 August /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and Serbia will boost their bilateral cooperation in the economic sector. At a today’s meeting, the cabinet of ministers approved the starting of negotiations on a Moldovan-Serbian agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The document will ensure the needed normative framework to stimulate the economic development and the flow of capital between the two states. At the same time, the agreement is aimed at creating safe conditions for work for investors and at encouraging the setting up of mixed capital companies.
The document will also strengthen the friendship ties between the two states and will promote the sustainable development of Moldova and Serbia.
The agreement will be signed for a period of ten years, with possibility to extend it.
