Romania has new military attache in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita today introduced a new military attaché, colonel Cristi-Mitica Ladaniuc to the leadership of the Defence Ministry. Attending the meeting was colonel Dumitru Neacsu, who ended his mandate of military attaché in Moldova.
At the meeting, the officials reviewed the present stage of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Romania, with emphasis put on the cooperation in the defence sector, as well as prospects for collaboration between the armies of the two states, according to a press release by the Moldovan Defence Ministry.
On the occasion of the end of the mandate of the military attaché in Moldova, Deputy Defence Minister Gheorghe Galbura awarded the medal „Pentru consolidarea frăției de arme” (For Strengthening the Brotherhood in Arms). The distinction was provided for meritorious contribution to developing the cooperation ties between the two armies.
The deputy defence minister appreciated the work of colonel Neacsu as military attaché and thanked him for personal involvement in advancing the cooperation on the defence segment. “The government of Romania had an essential contribution to the reformation of Moldova’s national defence system and provided the Defence Ministry with expertise and assistance in important sectors, such as the one of working out strategic documents, education, training servicemen at bilateral and international exercises. Due to colonel Neacsu, our cooperation has developed on an ascendant trend in the last four years, with joint actions identified, for the benefit of both armies,” the deputy defence minister said.
