Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), following an information of Moldova’s Embassy in Spain, informs the Moldovan citizens, who intend to travel or transit this country via the Airport El Prat from Barcelona, that starting from 4 August 2017 and subsequently during this month, the employees for security control (Eulen company) of the concerned Airport from Barcelona go on a partial strike (during the period 5:30-6:30, 10:30-11:30, 16:30-17:30 and 18:30-19:30) on Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, the MAEIE information and media communication service has reported.
According to the leadership of the company, beginning with mid-August, the strike will be extended for all the day (24 hours) for an indefinite period. Supposedly, the strike will considerably disturb the work of the El Prat Airport. The following risks may occur: long queues at the airport, delays or overlappings of flights, loss of luggage.
Taking into account that we are in full summer period, and Spain, specifically Barcelona, is a tourist destination for Moldovan citizens, MAEIE recommends that the citizens of Moldova take into consideration the concerned information, in order to avoid eventual inconveniences.
For additional information, Moldova’s citizens may call the MAEIE Call Centre at the phone number: +373 22 788 722 or the diplomatic mission of Moldova in Madrid at the emergency phone number: + 34 664 598 545.
