Deputy premier meets head of OSCE Mission in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 August /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan today had a meeting with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova, Ambassador Michael Scanlan, the Reintegration Policies’ Bureau has reported.   

The officials tackled aspects of the present situation in the Transnistrian settlement process, results achieved within the sectoral working groups and priorities of activity for the next period.

Also, the deputy prime minister informed about the latest developments in the negotiating process. Balan referred, in particular, to the situation of the Latin-script schools from the Transnistrian region, problem of farmlands placed beyond the Ribnita-Tiraspol highway, subject of the vehicles with registration plates from the Transnistrian region, etc. Gheorghe Balan said the Moldovan authorities would continue making efforts to identify tangible solutions to problems faced by the economic agents and residents from the Transnistrian region.
