Passenger bus overturns near Moldovan city

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – Seven people were hospitalized after the Chisinau-Ungheni bus that they were in, overturned on 14 August morning on the route between Sipoteni and Bahmut villages in Calarasi district.
The press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate, Natalita Golovco, told the agency that the accident took place on 14 August morning at about 05:30. "The driver did not take into account the unfavourable climatic conditions and the road under repair, went on the counter and skidded, reaching out of the road. During the accident, there were about 40 people in the coach, seven of whom needed medical care and were transported to the hospital in Calarasi. The passengers who had no injuries were evacuated to Calarasi bus station," said Golovco.
According to the cited source, the accident is being investigated by the law enforcement agencies, and there are currently undertaken the measures of bus evacuation from the route.
According to the doctors from Calarasi district hospital, at present, all persons who suffered from the accident were discharged.
