Deputy foreign minister meets with Ukrainian ambassador to Moldova

Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Lilian Darii, received the Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, Ivan Gnatyshin, today, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
During the meeting, the interlocutors made an exchange of views on the current issues on the bilateral agenda, with a special focus on the immediate actions aimed at holding the next sessions of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Also, the officials discussed the latest developments in the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. They underlined the importance of further promoting the negotiations in the “5+2” format and the confidence building measures with the aim to help overcome social and economic difficulties, which the population from both banks of the Dniester river has confronted with, and to identify a comprehensive and sustainable solution of the Transnistrian issue.
